Just wondering

With all these Arab-Israeli wars, what would happen if Israel actually lost one? Who would the land go to? Palestine? Would Israel continue to exist?

IF somebody actually does manage to conquer Isreal, it would probably be partitioned between whoever managed to conquer it... but that is a big if.

Yeah, I realize it wouldn't happen. This is theoretical. Like, say, if the same countries who attacked Israel in the 1948 War decided to do it again, and won, who would get what?

If they won they would probably divide it amongst themselves, then spend the next 20 years fighting over who gets to keep all of it.

In the end I think Egypt or Syria will end up in control of Israel, Jordan, and the Sinai

It depends on who wins, how big they win and when they win.

If they win in 1948, no Israel.
If they win in 1967, much smaller Israel with the rest partitioned between Egypt, Syria and Jordan.
If they win in 1972, like 1967 but probably goes nuclear and may trigger WWII. The Israel's probably have nuclear weapons by this point.

There really have not been any that pushed Israel hard enough to risk their existence since 1972.

in the Yom Kippur war, I don't think the goal of the Arabs was to actually conquer Israel... it was more to retake the territory they had lost in the '67 war. It would have been more of an embarassment to Israel rather than death... and they still would have held onto the West Bank, since Jordan was minimally involved...
