I read from several posts, mentioning one of the reasons Hitler managed to become the head of Germany without much Western influence is due to the fear of Communisim by the Western and mostly capitalist countries.
So is it logical to suggest that World War II could had been (set in a different time, different nations, maybe? Starting out as small conflicts between communist guerrillas and government troops, turning into a full scale war as these guerrillas spread their communist movements across continents and oceans) a war between Communist and Capitalist nations? (even by remote chances?) Or is this idea simply too ridculous without any hard proof?
