Joseph, Mary...It's a girl!

Depends on what theory of Jesus you want to believe first-if you subscribe to the "he was actually of noble ancestry and somewhat tied to the Herodian/Hasmonean house" then I guess you could conjure up a timeline where female Jesus marries someone like Herod Antipas.

What happens if Jesus is born female? No Christianity I would guess.

I wouldn't necessarily say no Christianity, but it does beg the question, did God specifically state that Jesus must be born male? If not, it might not completely butterfly Christianity, but it would potentially mean Christianity is very different.

I really, really don't want to get into a theological argument, but historically speaking, the circumstances of Jesus' birth are questionable at best. Jesus was one of many self-proclaimed prophets in Judea at this time (the version we get from the bible is likely a conglomerate of many preachers), and unreliable to base what-if scenarios off of. A better (and more reliable) PoD to change Christianity would be with Paul.

Indeed. The main reason why Christianity spread vastly and became the Imperial Religion is thanks to Paul's work. Without his efforts Christ's teachings would've stayed put in the Middle East, or slowly eroded away.

Is it the intention of the OP that this female Jesus or Hermione as I shall call her from now on is devine and a part of the Trinity or just an ordinary person with delusions of Godhood? Clearly the answer to this question will have some bearing on the time - line of Hermione's mission.
