Joining the Trend

Hello there. I've just tumbled in from a timeline that runs parallel to yours: Let's get to know about one another's worlds.

The city of Bowness in the Athabasca province of the Republique du Cabotia in 196 RC (or 1907 if you prefer the Saka calendar). My parents were an attache from the Egyptian embassy and Cabotian woman who has integrated French, Sarcee and Ojibway heritage.

I see.

How old are you, and what is your occupation?

Who is the leader of the nation you live in, and what is his, her, or their general governing style.

Does your universe have history books? (texts?) If so, has your world ever experienced a "Global War?" Could you provide some facts as to belligerents and time frames if so?

RE:

24. I work on a communal farm outside Tsawassen (one of the largest Pacific ports n Cabotia).
Cabotia is governed by the Directorate: a council of five National Legislateurs. They serve for one five year term, then are prohibited from running for national office for another ten years. The current makeup of the council is Simone Devereaux, Andre Crowchant, Marie Libre, Jose Vasquez and Jelani Kapera.

Yes we do have history texts. The last "Global War" was about 50 years ago, when the Spanish tried to reclaim their glory days by reinvading parts of Europe they dominated back in the 16th century of the Christian calendar. They and their Manchu and Persian allies were stopped by a united front of Cabotia, the United Kingdoms of Bharat, the Russian Empire, France, Corea, the Egyptian Empire and the Xianjin Dynasty (among others).
This was followed by the Atomic War, when the Russians and Xianjin devasted each other fighting over the partitioned parts of Manchuria. After that, the Congress of Nations and the International Brigades were formed (Cabotia and Bharat being the two largest contributors to both of these).

Did the city of Rome ever build in empire in your universe?

Oh yes. They dominated the Mediterrean area from about 44 BC to 476 AD according to the Christian calendar. Before then, they were a republic.
I should explain something: Cabotians like me have a tendency to use the old Christian calendar to describe dates before the birth of the Republic (1789 AD) but after that we refer to the Revolutionary Calendar, which has our current year 221.
