John, Duke of Bedford

WI: He had lived longer and had heirs by his second wife, Jacquetta? In this scenario, she does not marry Richard Woodville.

If there's a second Duke of Bedford then he, and not Richard of York, becomes Protector when Henry VI goes mad. The House of York probably never gets a look in.

He'd be less likely to try and depose his nephew so the Wars of the Roses as such would be butterflied away however some kind of Civil Strife is inevitable. Henry VI was too weak and Henry IV had opened a door with his disposition of Richard II.
