JFK not killed, effects on the 1964 Republican primaries and election?

So basically the question is, with JFK not being assassinated, lets say that Oswald goes to Cuba, what effects would occur? Will the Republicans still pick Goldwater? Will Scranton or Rockefeller be able to get the nomination? And without the death of Kennedy, how will JFK do against the Republicans, be it Goldwater or some other candidate?

The Goldwatermovrment was very strong. I don't think Kennedy's death effects them in any way. Goldwater's views are still unpopular. He still loses in a landslide. a A slightly smaller landslide since Kennedy cam not invoke the memory of a dead president.
