JFK Jr. as an actor: what would his career be like?

Let's say that Jackie dies a few years early or something, because unless ASBs tinker with his personality he won't openly defy her. So, let the discussion begin.

Both in the series and IRL, of course. But any other suggestions? Probably a few romances, since there was a reason for People '88...

Taking a look at Tomei's career, that seems like a good idea. They could be co-stars in a few movies together, and take it from there.

Maybe he can actually appear in a Seinfeld episode? Elaine seemed to have been very enamoured with JFK Jr. It would be pretty funny for me.

Perhaps, but not as a regular role. What about more upscale? Keeping in mind that IOTL/IRL his appeal was in his modest, easygoing, friendly, "everyman" personality. But he also had a fierce temper when pushed far enough... though few know this.

Actually, that's perfectly IC. IOTL he didn't do so well as an assistant DA in part because he couldn't detach himself from the defendants, many of whom were JDs. JD advocacy was something he was involved in IOTL and was appointed by Clinton (fun fact: he was a charter Clinton backer and a social intimate of the Clintons, having been one of his original fundraisers in 1991) to a WH commission on the subject in the mid-'90s. So a foundation is not out of the question.

Back to movies: any ideas? Oscar, BAFTA, Cannes nominations or wins?

Not seeing that. We've discussed a few TV series, what about movies? I didn't want to overly restrict the OP but that is what I hoped to be the main focus of discussion. Some Shakespearean movies would definitely be on the table because that was his specialty in the Brown acting club, and by all accounts he excelled. Perhaps Bossanio in TMOV? Pericles in PPOT?

War movies? Maybe Private Ryan?

Well, that would be one loyal (many defectors IOTL) Clintonista in Hollywood come 2008... but I don't see what Obama has to do with a non-political thread.

He might join with the rest of the family in endorsing Obama. I could see Saving Private Ryan also.

I can see him working witn Spielberg if he takes a role in Saving Private Ryan. I can see him in Band of Brothers.
