Guys settle down, no need to insult newer members. The timeline has flaws, a lot of them, but that isn't a reason start flaming against him. It is a reason to calmly sit down and explain the problems in the scenario, not start berating at the first oppurtunity.

But I'm 43, I won't live long enough.

If you're still reading this I hope you now realise that this TL has many faults, but the main one seems to be the lack of concrete research before you started it. The point of this board is to present alternate scenarios which could have plausibly happened, not what you'd like to happen, regardless of it's likelyhood. For example, a theoretical TL where Hitler emmigrates to the US and becomes president is ASB, because a presidencial candidate needs to be a birth citizen of the US in order to run for that office. This is especially the case if that's the only change you make from OTL up until that point. To avoid this issue, you need to be fully clued up on the actual history you're writing about, before you can start writing any alternatives.

If you want anything resembling the World War III scenario you outlined here (with an earlier moon landing to boot), you'll need several (much earlier) pods to bring this about. Basically, the less change you make, the more constrained you are by real life events. As your TL moves forward, you can make greater changes.

However well-written your TL is (and there were numerous spelling issues in this one), you need to either make it believable or put it in ASB.

If you want to write a serious TL, can I suggest you do some research on the Cold War for starters, look in to possible ways World War III could have started (like the Cuban Missile Crisis or the events that lead to the Berlin Wall being built).

Look up the history of Space Travel as well, as the hasty moonlanding is another problem with this Timeline.
As someone else stated earlier, you're probably better off not using Armstrong for this, as he wasn't prominant in 1961. Instead, read up on the people who were involved in space exploration in the early 60's and incorperate them in to your alternate moon landing.

As stated above, killing Oswald seems unnecessary in a TL where World War III happens-with a Global Nuclear comflict on the go or winding down, a trip to Texus (or anywhere for that matter) is likely to be the last thing on JFK's mind. That's if both Kennedy and Oswald escape being Nuked (and I think Kennedy will be a targgit for the soviets).

Your list of presidents is... random to say the least. That's fine in itself, as long as you've thought about how all these guys end up as president. I get the impression (and I could be wrong on this) that you've simply chosen the names of some prominant OTL figures though.

How did RFK succeed Nixon a year before the latter's term was due to finish? I know someone asked this earlier on, but why was Gerald Ford the republican nominee in 1976, when IOTL he only took a personal interest in presidencial politics when he had succeeded to the oval office by accident?
You don't need to tell us straight off (and I'll touch more on this point later on), but you need to have a plausible set of scenarios worked out if you want a particular list of presidents.

I would say that having every president from Reagan to Bush JR elected on schedule when the world has changed considerably would be a fluke at best though.
Imho it'd be a lot more interesting (and plausible) to mix some OTL well-known figures with some presidencial candidates who didn't reach the top in real life.

A couple of other points-make the Title Concise and learn the art of suspense. We don't need to know that the Kennedy's aren't assasinated or that 9/11 doesn't happen before we even start reading the TL, which seems to be based primarily in the early 60's anyway.
It's a fair bet that had World War III taken place in 1961, 9 11 won't happen and even if it does, it's 43 years away from your Pod and won't be an immediate concern to your readers.

If you butterfly away JFK's assasination, it'll be obvious to most people reading the TL that RFK's schedule is butterflied in such a way that he avoids his OTL fate too.

Finally, when someone points out the problems with your TL, "it's alternate history" isn't a defence, for the reasons I've already mentioned. Most of the people on here are experienced Ah writers (and I don't include myself in that btw).

I hope this helps you if/when you come to revisit this TL, or if you begin writing another one in the future.
I came across this link on here a while ago when I was trying to draft a TL:

These guys probably explain the ins and outs of TL research/writing better than I can.

Wouldn't it be much quicker if we tried to look for the things that do make sense instead? There are less examples of them, after all. Much less.

This is one of the best timelines I've ever read. So many good laughs, it should be a film! Someone explain to me how to sig so I can spread word to the people of this timeline's greatness! :D

I do strongly believe in giving people positive criticism rather than dissing their work...but...erm, that cannot be done here, im sorry to say.
