Jewish Hitler:
In this TL a Jewish Prussian officer coincidentially named Adolf Hitler is not killed in the trenches during World War I. In postwar Germany Hitler founds a nationalist party that is primarily a call for national dignity and anticommunism. The Nationalists wins the elections at about the same time as the Nazis did and leads a coalition government. Its main focus is forming a Continental Alliance against Communism by converting Little Entente members and other Eastern European nations from the French to their side. Germany annexes Austria and in a treaty gets Danzig back without Polish interference but otherwise limits its expansionism. Germany, Italy, and other Continental Alliance members intervened in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-37 on the side of the Nationalists and when France collapsed in civil war in 1939 after an attempted Communist revolution Germany intervened and restored order in exchange for repudiating Versailles. By 1941 the Continental Alliance consisted of Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, and Greece and in that year Germany also allied with Nationalist China. On March 1st 1941 the Continental Alliance finally began its invasion of the USSR and made massive inroads. Thanks to better strategy, far more humane treatment of liberated peoples, a stronger alliance, and not being at war with Britain Moscow, Leningrad, and Stalingrad all fell by late 1941 and the allied republics of Ukraine and Bylorussia were proclaimed. The Soviet Union finally collapsed in 1943 after Omsk was nuked (Germany developed an atomic bomb faster than OTL). In 1942 the US went into the Pacific War which ended in 1944 when Germany sent 500,000 troops to the East via the Trans-Siberian Railway. In the postwar world Germany and its Continental Alliance posed itself as the allies of the colonized peoples and as a result when the British and French colonial empires collapsed many of them became allies of Germany most notably India. The Eurasiatic Coalition was formed in 1947 at Berlin while the Washington Pact was formed between America, Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, and the Philippines. The Coalition boomed economically with German, French, Italian, Polish, and Czech businesses dominating Africa and Asia and China industrializing under Chiang thirty years faster than OTL. The Washington Pact suffered from a lack of attractiveness to the Third World and the Coalition powers slowly liberalized with Hitler retiring in 1955. Germany launched a satellite in 1952, a man in space in 1954, and a man on the moon in 1959. China’s 1.7 billion made it the largest coalition economy in 1982 and the largest in the world in 1993. This shift of power was seen when Coalition HQ was moved from Budapest to Tashkent in 1988. The Coalition landed on Mars in 1975, established a Lunar base in 1988, and a Martian base in 1994. By 2010 the Coalition controlled the majority of the world’s population and economy and most of the industrialized world still maintains birth-rates above replacement levels.
