Japanese Capture russian fleet 1905

At the battle of Tsushima what if Admiral Togo attacks the Russian fleet first and quickly gets a kill on lets say the Borodino as well as most or all the russian cruisers and destroyers causing the Russian fleet to raise the "XGE"(I surrender) flag early and allow the Japanese to capture no less then 7 pre-dreadnought battleships(some with only little damage, some more severe) and 3 coastal defence ships from Russia and adding them too their fleet.

Would they use them in any way? Convert them into carriers later in the 30's? Or just a target practice like the ones they captured OTL?

Would it change anything about the USA and UK building more battleships themselves to be able to compete with Japan? Would we see a different naval theatre in WWI?

Use 'em for costal defence and then scrap 'em for the most part. Russian ships were generally inferior to their japanese equivalents. Pre-dreadscould not be converted to carriers, way too small.

Also regarding their use vs the rest of the world, the ships captured are old/obsolecent or totally obsolete, and not much of a threat to anything. So the rest of the world wont take much into account, and the Dreadnoughts on her way.

The Japanese did take a number of ships. Most requied some sort of rebuild to reduce excessive topweight and proved less than successful in service. Those that weren't given back were scrapped.
