Japan without the Korean War

"No Korean War" scenarios and questions have often been posted, but has it ever been asked what such a situation would have meant for Japan? I've read that the war helped Japan to jumpstart its economy, which in turn lead to its economic miracle in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

So suppose that there is no Korean War (because of the KMT winning in China, for example) or the war ends in the beginning of 1951 (because MacArthur doesn't advance too close to the Yalu, thereby leaving a rump North Korean state near the Chinese border). What effect does this have on Japan?

I say that the economic miracle still occurs, but that it takes a bit longer. Like, say, Japan becomes the world's second largest economy in the late 1970s rather than the late 60s.
