Japan successfully invades Korea

With a POD between 1592-1598, what would it take for Japan to successfully take Kore and what are the effects of it? Could it leave to future invasions into Russia or China? Would it China just be able to take it later? How does it effect its interactions with the West?

Thank you for answering.

Read this entire thread first, and come back if you still have any questions.

In short, China, Japan, and Korea would all have been worse off regardless of the situation.

Oh... well thank you.
I second that suggestion. That thread has a lot of information you'd need. If you're looking for a specific point of divergence after 1592, nothing more needs to be said. I think it's basically impossible.

However, I'm of the opinion that Japan had the resources and manpower to conquer the Korean Peninsula (not necessarily permanently) during this time period. Other exigencies in China and Korea might also be needed for Japanese success. This would all require changes before 1592. Hideyoshi himself might be an obstacle, and so is the Sengoku mindset.
