Japan discovers the Daqing oil field in Manchuria in the 1930s

Suppose that in the 1930s, the Japanese discovered the Daqing field in Manchuria. I'm assuming this means that the US oil embargo won't drive the Japanese to the desperation that led them to attack Pearl Harbor in OTL, so what happens next? How does WWII go and how does the US deal with a Japan that won't back down in the face of sanctions?

Given that the field was found because of a maverick who insisted there could be oil in a geographical formation that no one else thought could contain oil, not seeing this.

You're better off with the Liaohe field, which the Japanese missed by a hundred meters or so while drilling.

Anyway, my guess? Sino-Japanese War doesn't happen, or is scaled down massively since Japan will go all out to defend the field against the Soviets.

Also, there was this thread:

https://www.alternatehistory.com/fo...ndustry-is-more-developed-before-wwii.297724/

which included discussions on why the Japanese nor any other oil exploring company would be looking for oil at Daqing. During the 1930s it was believed that oil deposits accumulated where there were shallow seas and not in lakes.

Even if the Japanese discovered the oil field, where will they get the necessary capital in time to bring it into large scale production before WW2?
