James needs a new wife.

Since my "Not so splendid isolation" timeline didn't go so splendidly, I am making a follow-up to "Charles needs a new wife." In 1589, Anne of Denmark sailed for England to meet her new husband James VI & I. Her ship ran into a storm on the way & had to turn around & try again. WI Anne’s ship sinks? Who James marry next?

Perhaps Anna Vasa of Sweden?

If I recall correctly Poland was predominantly Catholic at that time but Anna had converted to Lutheranism. Anna wanted to marry Count Gustav Brahe even though other proposals had been made. Ultimately she would remain unmarried.

In regard to relations between England and Poland I would have to defer to someone who has more knowledge on the matter but I believe that differences in religion may be a factor.

Yes, Arabella Stuart seems like a logical choice; it cements his claim to the English throne as Elizabeth's natural successor (something that was definitely on his mind by this point).

Great list Kynan, the only query would be the royal titles.

It is unlikely that two people will hold the Dukedom of Albany.

Maybe have the Duke of Edinburgh come about early?
Or have a new title like Duke of London?

It seems more likely that the heirs second son would be given Clarence imho
