Jamaican Republic

What if the Baptist War of 1831-1832 had ended in a slave victory, and Jamaica became a second Black Republic in the Caribbean alongside Haiti?

A few fast ideas
a) blockade from US under pressure from the South
b) End of slavery or immediate and unconditional emancipation in the British Caribbean. It sort of happen in OTL So I think it would come sooner.
c) Depression on the sugar market.
d) an alliance and treaty of friendship and commerce and defense with Haiti. Jean-Pierre Boyer was president at that time and rule over the whole of Hispaniola. So I think perhaps they would also get military help.

I don't know if Jamaica would be able to retain its independence. Haiti was able to become and stay independent because France physically couldn't project enough power to reconquer Haiti if it wanted to. Haiti gained independence in the context of the Napoleonic Wars, where France didn't have the ability or resources to send an expedition to Hispaniola with near constant British blockades. Jamaica, on the other hand, would be an island country declaring independence from the world's foremost naval power. Sounds a bit doomed to me.

Also Boyer couldn't send any military help, he could barely project power into the interior of Haiti.
