Italy is more superior but Germany.....

Alright, so lets say that Italy is like Germany, they beat the crap out of the British and French in Africa, and invade Greece far much better. And become dominant.

While Germany however is like Italy, they have hard time fighting, and pervail to alot of attacks.

In other words, they switched around.

So what will happen?

Initial "Torch" type landings are in Holland or Denmark. The allies try to knock Germany out of the war first and work south.

D-Day* is in Greece, or maybe Yugoslavia? Working up from Palestine and Suez.

Clearing North Africa takes far longer. The bomber offensive out of Libya, Algeria and Tunisia decimates Italy.

Lots of other changes too I'm sure.

Well kind of ASB and foolish. To completely narrow it down Germany = Mechanized Army with at least some adequete officers while Italy = NonMech army with mostly incompetent officers. the POD will need to be WELL before 1900!

If Germany is "Like Italy" Berlin will be captured by the Soviets 3 weeks after Barbarossa starts, and only that long because Stalin personally wanted to ride into the City on a cloud of destructive awesomeness.

While I agree that the POD should be well before 1900, I must set the record straight. The German Army that conducted the blitzkrieg offensives was NOT mechanized. IIRC, the French were actually more mechanized than the Germans. It wasn't so much their officers either. The key to Germany's success was her top-notch NCO corps. Many positions that in other armies would require officers to fill, the Germans relied on their NCOs. In fact, until the Eastern Front broke their system of training NCOs, the Germans held their ground well against the Soviets.
