Italian-Spanish war ~1880-1885

Considering the difficulties the americans faced in Cuba in their land campaign, and we are talking about an scenario where the spaniards where facing also an insurgency. And considering that during the Cuban War of Independence Spain was able to move around 200.000 troops through the Atlantic, in think that even if the italians are able to land in the Balearics, their victory on land (with a loyal population and a motivated army denfending the homeland) is not a given fact.
All I'm saying is that it's wrong to assume Spain can get a victory so complete that they'd actualy force Italy to give up it's plans for the Horn of Africa.

We agree in that. Spain is not going to cause a complete defeat of the Italians. Dunno who may have suggested that. The same could go about Italy.
