Italian Ambassador to Nazi Germany?

I have been writing an AAR over on the Paradox Interactive Forums, and I just need a name for a diary entry. I have spent about a half hour perusing google for just the name of the Italian ambassador to Nazi Germany during World War II. I have also searched to see if Hitler had an Italian adjutant or liaison officer among his circle of cronies. The closest I have found thus far is Galeazzo Ciano, who was the Italian minister of foreign affairs, but unless I am mistaken a minister such as himself would stay within Italy and manage it's diplomats and ambassadors in other countries.

If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated, even if it is a very small matter,

Well, a brief search seems to point to several possibilities. It seems Vittorio Cerruti was Ambassador to Nazi Germany during the late 30's (possibly 1935-1939), followed by Bernardo Attolico (1939-1940), and finally Dino Alfieri (1940- ), the last one appointed at Germany's request. That said, I personally don't know how long Alfieri lasted, although chances are his term could have gone until 1943 at the latest.

Hope that helps!
