It's not deliberate genocide. Happy? It's not the Holocaust, or the Armenians, or even Darfur. It's just soldiers getting overexcited. Does that excuse it? No. My point is that they can kill all those Jews without being inhuman monsters - I was trying to through the other side a bone, here. People commit atrocities. It's not always, uh, malicious. Arabs killing all the Jews != Arabs are Nazis.
And my examples of the ancients follows as such:
-Soldiers have historically very often massacred people after victory
-Why the fuck are the Arabs special?
As for the Great Powers, here my point stands: the Arab armies are not composed of the kinds of people that think about their actions in the context of the greater world; nor are they (largely) composed of people who will follow orders to give quarter when they're caught up in battle lust.
I jsut think this assumption is wrong. Looking at most of the armies in WW2, they didn't all get caught up in blood lust and massacre the French/Italian/German population. In the instances where they did, it was mostly because they were actually ordered to, and I don't think the Arab leaders would order them to. That's my point-they wouldn't get caught up in blood lust and accidentally kill all the jews, they'd have to try to do it, and be ordered to.
