Who do you believe is more fanatical in their actions and devotion to their ideological beliefs, the members of ISIS or the members of the Imperial Japanese armed forces during WW2?

Which would you say is the most "brainwashed" or indoctrinated?

Or are they sides of the same fanatical true believer coin?

ISIS has, like the Taliban, a notable criminal element to it. They are gangsters and thugs in the realest sense of the word. They have more in common with Mexican Cartels than with the Japanese Army.

I'm not saying the Japanese did not have issues with corruption, but realistically, it was a much more centralized organization.

I agree with this, from what I understand, most of their strength comes from local militias which tend to perform pretty poorly, with a small core of foreign volunteers and Jihadists who are veterans and far more dedicated. Taking each side as a whole, Japan surely comes out way ahead.

ISIS by like 1000 times. The Imperial Japanese government were militants and hard core nationalists that wanted to carve out a sphere of influence in East Asia. ISIS wants to exterminate all the infidels on Earth (which even includes pretty much all other Muslims on earth that aren't part of their particular brand of ultra-radical Sunni Islam). So yes, its not even really close at all so I didn't do the poll.
