Isabelle of Castille marries a French king instead of the king of Aragon

Hate to do this to you again but... depends on when she marries him. Before the civil war? Before the nobles rise up against Enrique in favor of Isabella's brother? Before Joanna marries Alfonso of Portugal? Still how might it happen? Ugh, Isbaella is 30 years younger than Louis XI but 20 years older than Charles VIII. Louis I guess, might have offered his brother Charles the Duke of Aquitaine at one point (who was only 6 years older). Say Isabella goes for it, it works, Charles somehow manages to become King and Louis dies early. Then there will be no marriage attempt at Burgundy. Considering what happened to Charles (TB and an STD)....

Assuming Isabella's brother is still killed, would Isabella even be Queen of Castille, or would it be Joanna Beltraneja? There are no other candidates except Isabella herself but if she's already in France? Still, Isabella the Catholic as the Queen of Castille AND the Dowager Queen of France by age 25? Assuming she retains power in France (I have no idea, Isabella was pretty sharp) her attention would probably be directed westwards leaving Burgundy alone. Aragon is going to be in a lot of trouble even if they totally capitulate on the Rousillon.

Would we see interlocking alliances to restrain France-Castille?

Besides the questions (very well) put by MNPundit, Isabel probably couldn't have been queen of Castile without foreign help in the war aganist the "beltranejos". IOTL that help was provided by Ferdinand II of Aragon. In your proposal, if she still pretends the castilian throne, are the french disposed to send a militar expedition to Castile with incertain odds of success?

The French sided with Joanna until Louis died and then they kind of pulled back so Portugal wouldn't have had help there if Isabella is already a French queen. I am not familiar with French dynastic intricacies except for Joan of Arc between Hugh Capet and Charles VIII's launching the Italian Wars. Who would Isabella marry if Louis and brother-Charles are dead?

Depending on what happens with Louis's son, he might be the heir until Charles-Isabella have one, or maybe he dies or is never born since he wasn't until 1470. If Isabella is Queen she might be forced to abandon Castille to unify with Portugal under Joanna creating a different Spain and if there are no acceptable dynastic branches do you think she could maybe, possibly, somehow, marry....

....Ferdinand of Aragon? No, surely that's too crazy.

How would it look like in the present?

With respect, Mimeyo, that's like saying "if I were to give you £1,000 then in 200 years would your descendants be blondes or black-haired?" You just can't answer that question without naming how every event between now and then went. There are about 10 kajillion different ways the world could turn out.
