Marketing arseholes have got hold of Australian sport and are arsefucking it.
I like motor racing because I like cars, but marketing arseholes and competitors more worried about their budgets, have made V8 supercars ultra bland. I love a race where one car is fast around corners but another gets it on the straights, but all we hear about is tyres and roll centre adjustment. WHO GIVES A FUCK!?
Similarly Australian Rules is played in 4 states but Rugby League played in the other 2. But the AFL is trying to expand into the Rubgy States, where people don't play AFL. Why? Because there's a potential MARKET (for TV and merch and shit) not because a there's are a lot of lower level teams generating talent which needs an elite outlet.
Is this the same elsewhere? How could this be avoided?
