Is it possible for a different turkish beylik to unite anatolia?

So I was looking into the ottoman empire and the sultanate of rum when a question popped into my mind. Was it possible for another beylik, like karaman or candar, to unite the various turkish states into an empire like the ottomans and seljuks? I was thinking about creating a turkish empire that is more trade based and more influenced by the eastern romans, but I dont know if thats possible or not. Also, was there anyway to prevent the fall of the sultanate of rum?

You can, but you need to prevent the Ottomans from stepping forth into Europe as that gives them the manpower and tax base to challenge the other beyliks.

If not, any number of other Beyliks are possible competitors: Off the top of my head, the Germiyanids, the Karamanids and the Candarids were expansionist states that had a bit of a manifest destiny complex along with the manpower and military skill to conquer vast swaths of land.
