Is German unification possible without the French Revolution?

So, I'm making a tinelime that has PODs that go far back enough to badly impact France. But, I want a centralized( and all German speaking, in a sense) HRE to rise. And I want it to pur emphasis on being German. But, how can German nationalism exist without the French revolution? Since, I plan on making my timeline ASB, I could handwave things, but I don't want to rely on that too much, because it may drive readers off if things work out to conveniently.

Yes - - Frederick the Great is more successful in his conquests.
Frederick was dead set against centralization of HRE power structures and strongly supported the maintenance of the "German liberties".

Prevent the rise of Prussia first and then you can have an Austrian led unification of Germany.
But a better POD would be preventing the rise of Protestantism as that would make easier for the Habsburg Holy Roman Emperors unifying Germany
