What I mean is, is it plausible for another charismatic firebrand agitator in the same vein as Hitler ...to achieve some kind of political power in West Germany?

Not unless there is a disaster comparable to the Great Depression. One must remember that Hitler and the NSDAP was active for many years with minimal political success. In the election of 1928, the NSDAP got less than 3% of the popular vote. It was only after the economy crashed that its vote grew to significant levels.

Something comparable would have to happen in post-war Germany - not necessarily an economic crash, but something that would cause a large proportion of the people to turn against conventional politics.

Only if the allies decide to make a united and neutral German buffer state. And if they let them keep a sizable independent military. And if there's hardly any de-Nazification or post war occupation. And if World War II somehow didn't reduce most German cities into rubble.

So - a successful Valkyrie?

Are we talkin a full-fledged Nazi Hitler or a popular dictator here. If things a going Wirmar republic bad, a dictator who could restore order would be tolerated by the West.

No that wouldn’t lead to a new Hitler having a chance to gain power, in fact that would work against. In fact a new Hitler would demand incredible to the level of braindeadness occupation policies. There was a massive opposition to Hitler gaining power in OTL, but they accepted his takeover, because they expected new elections, but instead they saw the Nazi’s autocoup. These people many who had been imprisoned under Hitler, would rise up in arms, it’s a new Hitler arose.

That is sort of my point when one says Hitler many are assuming a guy running on his exact platform rather then be a populist leader who subverts democratic structures and then does what he really wants after a few years of being in power and has the country in his grip.
