Is a France/German/Poland state possible?

How about one of the last Carolingian is elected King of France instead of Hugues Capet and his at one point inherit/become elected emperor and slowly centralise all of this they sometime in the future conquer, vassalise, inherit Poland.

An alternative is to use the Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth/Jagellions and have them as rulers of Bohemia become elected as HRE. At this point the agricultural riches of the Commonwealth had them more than capable of bribing the electors. After that it is either case of invasion or inheritance to take over France.

At this point you a single ruler of the three territories, one a Constitutional Monarchy, one a highly decentralised Empire, and the latter an absolute monarchy. The latter (being France) would be hard to keep, so offering some freedoms as per the Sejm might work to keep France loyal, and then its a matter of centralising control in the HRE, till you can have the Empire of Three Sejms. Less federalized than modern Germany, but three major legislative bodies subservient to the Crown, or later, a Federal Authority. The multi-national nature of the union being inconsequential. Nationalism would have to be circumvented in the Empire or it would fall apart. So any surviving Empire must have done this successfully.

It is a big old Empire though. Poor Demark/Scandinavia - they will be very high on the "I want this too for reasons" list.
Trouble is you cannot inherit France, only be inherited by France. It's the main use of the Salic Law - ensuring the French crown wouldn't be inherited by a "foreign" ruler.

So we might need to go back a bit further for for a POD that would see the French crown as staying elected. Though perhaps a strong French King who desires something with the HRE would helpful for our goals of union. And come to think of it, but didn't a French King marry the daughter of a Polish king? Well, a former one who was made Duke of Lorraine. Veeeeery wide stretch but we can try having... Actually no, I can't suspend my disbelieve enough to get the French to invade Poland, make it be a hereditary monarchy, then have it go to the daughter married to the King.

Have Henri III become King of the Commonwealth on schedule, but have him not abandon his rights to holding both thrones and get the personal union with France going.
With the Polish funds, he can pass the Edict of Amboise and end the French religion wars by crushing the League.
Then all you need is have him have sons (instead of having the throne pass on to Henri de Navarre) and manage to have the Poles accept his sons as heirs to the Polish throne.
But the Leczinskis (spelling might be wrong)? Too late IMO.
