The Idea behind this is rather simple: the Red Army, instead of getting encircled in facing massive defeats against the Wehrmacht, instead quickly blunts the German offensive in Barbarossa--and by Winter 1941, the Germany is about to get ejected from the Baltic States and the Ukraine.

The Red Army is on the attack in 1941--compounded by Hitler's disastrous orders to make an all-out stand against the Red Army--which results in gutting the Wehrmacht.

Desperate to secure a part of Europe, the Allies attempt a premature amphibious assault in France--Sledgehammer--but due to insufficient buildup, contested air superiority, and the unexpected resistance of Vichy forces, the Allies are forced to evacuate their beachheads in shame.

By 1944, the Red Army is on the Rhine and Italy, Romania and Bulgaria have been persuaded to adopt communism. With no other choice, Hitler's successor surrenders to the Soviet Union--and the Soviets march into the rest of Europe.

Assuming the reasonable PoD that the Red Army fights capably from day one instead of day three hundred sixty five--particularly after German abuses against Russian PoWs are revealed--what will the Allies do in this situation?

Would Churchill demand a war against Stalin when Soviet Puppet Regimes now include France, the Low Countries and Italy? And if not, would a Soviet Union with this level of economic might behind it survive to the present day?
