Interwar West Slavia

Woodrow Wilson's proposal for an independent Slovak and Czech are denied and the French hand over those territories to Poland.

Polish state now has a larger industrial base and uses it's large population to keep the Czechs, Slovaks and Ukrainians in line.

What happens during the Polish-Soviet War? The Polish would presumably have more artillery and light armored vehicles?

What happens during the Second World War?

Are you serious? The Poles had enough trouble in OTL with their minority populations. Giving them 10 milion more minorities would destroy the Polish state before it was created. Heck even the Czecks and Slovaks had a lot of problems with their own German and Hungarian populations.

Maybe, just maybe, they could form a loose federation of Central European Slavs but that in itself is unlikely and needs an earlier POD than 1919. Adding Czechoslovakia to a Polish nation-state (this is what you meant by "keeping them in line") is absurd; and if it were to happen it would make 1940s Yugoslavia look like Disneyland.

What Damu said is probably true. The Poles had enough minorities to worry about, ans those Pan Slavic states usually are quite disfunctional. The Poles would probably note even want the Czechoslovaks.

I can't see this going well, and if they gain Czechoslovakia it only make geograpich sense to also give them most of Silesia. I don't see this going well at all.

Gasp. Get him a beer ! :D Polo-wank n00b, ahoooy ! :D :)

But seriously, friend... What makes you think that Wilson would be so generous to the Poles - all of a sudden ? I could understand it if the Czech and Slovak political figures lobbying for a future Czechoslovakia would be more amateurish, less succesful or just plain dumber than in OTL... But still...

And BTW... Would you really want the (Mega-)Rzeczpospolita to be known under the oh-so cheesy title of "West Slavia" ?

Actually there was a proposition in 1942 about forming some kind of Polish-Czechoslovak union after WW2 so this may not be as far fetched as it seems.

On the other hand the context was widely different in 1918.
