Regular columns include L.G. Parker's Small Causes, comparing Operation Sea Lion with Operation Overlord, and his Urban Warfare, focused on Hue in the Vietnam War, and Jon N Davies continues his history of the Goughs of Ynyscedwyn with his article on Richard Gough Aubrey (2). The late Brian G. Davies' travel articles continue to be published with 'Seeking the Northern Lights', and some of his poetry is featured for the republication of his book 'A Fountain Stirred'. Featured poetry comes from Pawel Marckiewicz with Arethusa and Alpheus, Richard Stevenson with Poems from an Abominable Swamp Slob, and from Linda M Crate, and Simon R Gladdish. Featured stories include Alma Pater from Jenean McBrearty, A Pearl Harbor Secret from Gene J Parola, Stone and Blood from Brenden Sisk, and The Vae's Appetite by Michael Gerard. Just pressed PUBLISH on Infinity Wanderers 6. At 205 pages it is a monumental work. If I can get a table seat on the train back from London to Swansea tomorrow I will try to get the ebook version ready. But hopefully by early afternoon tomorrow, the paperback version will be live. Due to Amazon's price increase, it is £10.99 which includes extremely little profit for me (about 20p an issue maybe), but we wanted to keep it in line with good magazines you might buy in a shop. It is in many ways a coffee-table book, of course, full colour, 10" x 8", and this issue is possibly the one that has gone through the most digital proofs ever, though that does not mean there will be no mistakes, of course. It has several colour and photographic features, as well as a few Photographic Interludes of interest, which reset left/right balance. We would certainly hope that the mix, and breadth and depth, of features will be of interest to a wide variety of readers.

The associated work on the Goughs, comprising articles from issues 1,2,3,5 and 6 is now A GOUGH COMPENDIUM

Hezekiah Fleming has been excised due to a wealth of new information, and a new article on him is planned for issue 8 of Infinity Wanderers

Richard Gough Aubrey, the first of that name, died 1759, has been added, which article also traces the Portrey family through 3 (or 4 if counting illegitimate and female descent) generations.

Grey Wolf has kindly asked me via e-mail if I could post the Ko-fi link for Infinity Wanderers:

He's tried contacting Sargon the previous week, but wasn't lucky, so he tried my e-mail address we used some years back, when I sent him an article for Innovate magazine that he edited back then, before Infinity Wanderers.

The screenshot of Grey Wolf's e-mail to me (sent on the 13th of October) available below, under the spoiler.

Grey Wolf´s plea.png

I've edited out my own e-mail address and Grey Wolf's surname, for obvious privacy reasons.

I also include the reply e-mail I wrote to him before posting in this thread, under the second spoiler.

Reply to Grey Wolf.png

I'm adding it here for completeness' sake, just so it's clear I wrote back to him and promised to share the link.

I don't know if I can be of any help beyond that, but if any of you know Grey Wolf personally or know him well enough here on the forums, feel free to contact him and ask if he needs any help. As I'm far away from the UK, including Wales, I personally can't directly help GW.

At £10.99 I get 8 pence an issue, so this is as near to cost price as I can do it

210 pages, full colour, 8" x 10"

Please try and support this magazine

The One Place Study of 2 Juniper continues with a look at The Later Interior, seeing how changes in decor, and the effect of the additional extensions, changed the feel of the inside of the house during the 1980s and early 1990s.

L.G. Parker contributes Small Causes 7 with "History-Changing Events", and "Wrong Men". Jon N Davies continues his history of the Goughs of Ynyscedwyn with the first part of the life of Richard Douglas Gough, covering 1797 to 1842.

Fair-Weather Friend by Mark Harbinger continues with Part 2, and Haley Receveur's Alea Abiecerat now reaches Part 6 of the syndicated story.

Pet Words is a poetry focus on our pets, and includes a variety of contributors' poems, some poignant and some amusing, along with photographs and illustrations. There is also poetry by Linda M. Crate, from Jack Cariad Leon with 'For The Children Taken by the Pied Piper, and from Joshua Boers with an anagram poem of a verse of The Battle of Maldon.

The lead story is 'Death of the Author' by Joshua Boers, and other stories come from Susan Dean with both 'Mol's Swansong' and 'Devil's Dyke', from Ciaran McLarnon with 'The Kingdom', from Paul Leone with 'So Long As We Still Live', from Matthew Spence with 'On The Trail', from Allister Nelson with 'And Lilith Sewed the Seam', from Peter Molnár with 'The Cuckoo's Gaze', and from Glenis Moore with 'Immortality Bites!'.

We have an interview with author and poet Gary Beck. Book features and several book reviews complete the magazine, hopefully recommending some good reads for the festive season.

These book reviews are 'Cold Rising' by Rohan O'Duill and 'Atomic Secrets' by John A Hopkins.
Both are absolutely excellent books

Best Regards

Well, the sale of my late dad's place has collapsed for the second time, incurring me and my sister a slate of management fees and ground rent payments on it again.

I've set Infinity Wanderers 9 for February to do it while I can, then will do issue 10 for June, hopefully allowing me to get some finances in place for that issue

My imprints have issued rejection notices to all prospects not already under contract or gentleman's agreement.

I'm now cancelling my planned holidays, including to visit my parents' grave for the 10th anniversary of my Mum's death. I got there before Christmas so it won't be like I never go there.

Money is such a pain in the ass!

Good luck!
Thanks

Issue 9 IS paid for, the cover designer has the money for the design and an abstract for it. I can cover the 3 copies I send to libraries.

Issue 10 will be the difficult one, which is why I have placed a 4-month gap between the two. I'll need to raise the finance for the cover designer especially.

In between, I will run out of money in March, apart from what I earn gardening etc which doesn't cover the rent.
