Industrial Revolution w/o USA? (failed ARW)

Say the American Revolution is crushed (1777 or 78 PoD); is it safe to say British North America would see less industry (manufacturing, etc) in the 19th Century than the U.S. did OTL? If so, how much less? What would be the economic and historical changes from this particular change alone?

Why would the north america see less/slower industrialization? If the Brits end slavery, you might see more as the south industrializes more rapidly.

British trade policies that favored the metropole, plus tariffs levied by the states/provinces on each other's goods. There's a reason New York's fastest population growth occurred in the 1790s (and not before), right after the Constitution mandated free trade among the states.
