Indo-American Relations after U.S.A.-Pakistani Nuclear War?

This thought occurred to me since the time when I read Peter Parker’s September 11, 2006 TL. Suppose that there is a U.S.-Pakistan war. Suppose U.S. thinks it neutralized all of Pakistani’s nukes but the assumption turns out to be wrong. Suppose that before the Pakistani leadership is defeated they decide to launch their remaining nukes.

Now Pakistan’s nukes can’t reach the U.S. mainland. So if the leadership is going down in flames, I assume they would give a “f*ck you” to their #1 enemy – India. So if Pakistan nukes India as a result of a U.S. war in Pakistan, how would that impact U.S.-Indian relations?

The US would need at least support from India to pull this off and its more than fair to say that the Indians have a huge interest in Pakistan's nuclear weapons,- who has control of them etc. Equally once the sh&t hits the fan in Pakistan the Indians will have the border well and truly clamped down

So going back to OP, the impact may not be that bad actually however that would depend on what gets hit - a major city like New Delhi is one matter - things could get nasty. a rural area maybe not so bad.
