Independent US, with 1763 boundaries

For my TL, East Resurgent, I have planned a future * American revolution, which is much less successful, as Spanish, French, and England are wrapped up in Revolutions in the two former countries. This *Peace treaty draws America's Western Boundary at the 1763 proclamation line, shown below:

What would the effects of this border have on the fledgeling colonies? Would They prefer to seek out overseas expansion?

The British would have to fill the land west of the Appalachians fast or individual Americans would simply move in and take it. Even if the British did something as crazy as resettling the whole population of Quebec along the US Western frontier they wouldn't be numerous enough to block nature American expansion.

This just sets things up for another conflict later down the line, maybe in 20 years or so. A major part of the colonies' reasons to starting the rebellion was the fact that the Crown had denied them to right to settle in the western lands they believed they had won in the French and Indian War. There is no way the British will be able to halt or even slow the flow of American settlers West, so there would be some kind of war as the US tries to gain space to settle. It will be like Texas, except bigger, and with more massacres of Indians.

By taking these lands, Britain is effectively preventing the US from growing at all, which would be intolerable for the US. They'd come back, probably when Britain is distracted by another European war.

Yeah, I'd have to argree this just seems to be setting the stage for an Anglo-American war every generation.
