In an ATL in which Manco Inca successfully besieged Cuzco in 1536, could anyone imagine the Inca Empire actually surviving. If Manco had successfully manipulated the Pizarro-Almagro divide then he could he have learned Spanish techniques to his own advantage.
If he had been successful I could imagine the English coming to Peru at some point to help the Incas act as a bulwark against Spanish expansion in South America. With the adaptation of Western weaponry, one could see an Inca Empire surviving in a different form.
Any thoughts?
