OK, another argument my friend and I had together is over Spaceflight in Nazi Germany. Assuming they won ww2, how advanced would spaceflight realistically be? Since the 'modern day' of this TL is 1998 (it's for a HOI4 Mod), 20 years ahead would be modern Falcon 9s and SLS rockets.
My friend says that it would be over 50 years more advanced (apparently even the Skylon is 'old tech' to him- he told me the specific impluse should be 6-8 km(!)/s [even Skylon at Atmosphere maxes out at 3km/s!]), while I argue that without the Space Race, Germany would have little reason to expand its capabilities, so space would be about as advanced as it was in OTL (though maybe with a fully-reusable space shuttle and space tugs).
He also wants to add 300+ men in LEO, along with Moon and Mars Colonies. I tell him that it's unrealistic to expect THAT much to happen, simply due to budgetary requirements. At most, I would expect a 50 (maybe 100) men in LEO to be realistic (the military and space departments are merged, as -in the soviet union)
Oh yeah, and he believes that the Nazis would put slaves in space (despite the mass disadvantage).
I can't convince him otherwise, so I've gone here to try to ask the question of if my Friend's POV is realistic on this matter.
