What would have been a better opening gambit for Imperial Russia in WW1?
- assuming no substantial POD before 1 January 1914;
- assuming no substantial changes in pre-war alliances; and
- assuming no substantial enhancements to Russian military capabilities
For example, instead of the Russian 1st and 2nd armies launching their offensives into Eastern Prussia, what if Russia perhaps used only the Russian 2nd and 10th armies to merely fend off the Germans and devoted everything else to crushing A-H?
