When we talk about the impact of a Confederate victory, we usually limit our discussions to America itself. But would impact might their have been on the rest of the world? Obviously a disunited America (and let's assume it remains disunited and perhaps balkanizes further) would have a massive impact on the history of the rest of the world over the course of the next century-and-a-half.

How might a disunited America effect the power struggles of Europe?

Would the lack of a strong American political and economic rival contribute to preserving the British Empire as the global superpower?

Would a disunited America mean that the Monroe Doctrine is gone? Would this encourage greater European interference in Latin America?

What else?
