Impact of a 1950 Eden premiership

IOTL Churchill allegedly stayed on as Conservative leader to spite Antony Eden who was widely seen as his natural successor. By the time Eden finally got to be PM in 1955 he’d lost much of his youthful vigor, had ill health and was quite rapidly thrown into the chaos of empire collapse and eventually Suez.

WI Churchill was unable to stay on as Conservative Party leader due to illness and Eden becomes Prime Minister in 1950 rather than 1955. Many people see Eden as a lost talent. Would this earlier start date have given Eden the opportunity to prove that claim? How would he have handled the collapse of empire with those extra five years?
