Immigration in CSA

The question is that who would arrive in the Late 1800's CSA.

I can't really think what states the CSA would own, but lets just say all of the Southern States, Kentucky, and New Mexican Territory.

However, barely any Russians, Germans, Dutch, Scandinavians came to the South during this time, Irish hardly too.

Could there be an event in the country that would cause many foreigners to sway the US Immigration into the south?

I would think that an independant CSA would want to start industrializing, in order to balance out the North.

Industry would mean jobs.

You would get some of the usual suspects immigrating to the industrial cities. Brits, Germans, etc...
Not many though, I'd imagine the CSA to have more emigrants than immigrants- fleeing to the better opportunity in the north and west, or in the case of blacks fleeing to the false dream of equal treatment (something which I'd imagine the US would try to control lest it be overran by negroes, i'd really imagine quite the overly exagerated hysteria emerging with some sections of the American press over this.)

After the inevitable abolishment of slavery I would also expect large scale migration of blacks to the North, where I'd expect they'd eventually find themselves forced to the western frontiers as the USA has no place for them elsewhere, and gold rushes are quite lucrative. This would mean the white population of the CSA would find itself without the menial workforce they've been relying on for a long time. Of course the perfect solution is to the South. Mexicans are just non-white enough that you can treat them like shit without too much problems (this is the 19th century after all) and the way Mexico was back then the migrants would have very little education. This CSA could eventually exchange their plantation slaves with wage-slaves from Mexico instead.

Post ACW the two biggest emigrant streams were Italians and Polish [east European]
OTL Southern Leaders encouraged these to replace the more Expensive Black Workers. I could see the CSA doing the Same

The immigration to the CSA will probably be similar to the immigration to the Latin American nations at the same time, (i.e. mostly South Europeans), as the CSA's economy at that time is very similar to those nations, and it'll require similar skill sets.

I don't think the CSA will experience that much Black Flight after the abolition of slavery, mostly because the USA will be doing everything it can to keep them out.

Indeed, I take the Historical Ironicist view towards a surviving CSA, (i.e. that it is almost destined to become an African American homeland), so I think White Flight will be more likely when the old landed Confederate élites start fleeing the country when the revolutionary alliance of Poor Blacks and Poor Whites start taking control of the state and enacting radical reforms.

By the 1920s, the CSA will have a Black president, and it, as a state, will be the most prominent critic of European Imperialism. By the time the Empires collapse after *WW2, (which the CSA will probably sit out of), the CSA will make a point of extending the hand of friendship to the post-colonial nations, and Black Africans will overtake White Europeans as the largest cohort of migrants t the CSA.

That's not an accurate representation of the South IMO. Most Southerners did not live on plantations with slaves performing the menial work. Most people grew and ate their own food at that time without the help of "people of color". "Gone With The Wind" is not a documentary.
