Gonna start with Decisive Darkness: What if Japan hadn't surrendered in 1945? by @The Red .

One of the few photos of the Hitler Army. When Nazi Germany surrender in May 1945, Japan imprisioned all Germans subjects that were still inside their area of control (mostly Kriegsmarine sailors (mostly from U-boats), with even fewer members of other armed brances and the few remaining civilians), and mistreat them as any other western nations captured. But as the Japanese failed to expel the Americans from Kyushu, and more troops are send from Honshu, the IJA decided to recruit as many Germans as possible, and form a army in exile, akin to the Allied Polish, French, Dutch, etc. But unlike those troops, the Hitler Army (as it was called, in respect to their deceased leader), never passed behond regiment size, and unlike the Japanese Army based in Honshu (which was poorly armed themselves), they where trained and armed as a Volunteer Fighting Corps (their equivalent to the Volkssturm). And as a result, on their baptism of fire (in Yokohama, Honshu), they where almost destroyed (either trough fighting and surrender).

Ki115AfterWar.jpg

A damaged Ki-115 "Andrew" that was cannibalised for parts captured by the US in Honshu. It is likely (but not proven) that it was this model of aircraft that hit USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. (DD-850), killing 19 sailors (including Robert F. Kennedy, the third youngest son of Joseph P. Kennedy Sr.) and wounding 19 more.

Profile_of_a_Type_4_Chi-To.jpg

One of the rare completed Type 4 Chi-To. Both it, and the slightly less advanced Type 3 Chi-Nu, where built to counter the M4 Sherman. But they where designed to fight early to mid-variants of the Shermans, althought they could still kill late-variants, like the M4A3E8. But the apperance of the M26 Pershing shocked the Japanese High Command, as those were most more harder to neutralize. But even before the Japanese thought of drawning their Pershing-killer...

ZIxTKqD.jpg

a wild M29 Washington appears!! Althought built as a response for the Germans big cats (and the Soviets IS), they proven to be invulnerable to any japanese attacks, as more where "lost" by their own crews that by the enemy (and none were lost against the japanese). Everything about the tanks was overkill, even the weight, as they are reports of the 192nd Tank Battalion crushing some bunkers with the weight. But the US weren't the only UN member to show their new toys.

latest

IS-3 heavy tank on it's way to Pusan, Korea. As many of the Soviet old equipment (BT-7s, T-26s, KVs, etc) began to break down in Korea, and with no further parts to repair them, the Soviets replaced all remaining equipment with they new medium and heavy tanks (while giving some of the earlier ones to the Koreans). Among them was a regiment of the brand new IS-3 heavy tanks, rolling into combat for the first time in the Siege of Pusan.

One of the P-51C Mustangs of the Japanese Expeditionary AF in Bavaria 1945. Despite the introduction of the Mitsubishi A7M, due to the distance of the campaign compared to their closer Siberian front, very few were given. But with the help of the US (thanks to the Lend-Lease (but only after the military government was switched to the civilian, and the creation of the Air Force)),, a few Mustangs were given to the Expeditionary Air Forces, helping the Allies giving air superiority over Europe and Asia.

One damaged Corsair of the "Américain Aéronavale" landing on USS Intrepid, during the Naval Battle of Truk. De Gaulle, been De Gaulle, after the failed Japanese Invasion of New Caledonia (and also sending a battalion and a fighter squadron to the Solomons), send enough pilots to the US to train for carrier operations, and they saw actions from Timor to the very end of the war, first flying F4F Wildcat (from escort carriers), then later F4U Corsair (from Fleet Carriers)

Thanks for sharing those pictures. I love to gather information online regarding history and that is the reason I register on this website.

A true classic TL, now if updated to 2021 it still would end in a Spanish victory.

Decisive Darkness: What if Japan hadn't surrendered in 1945?
555th-parachute-infantry-battalion-or-the-triple-nickles.jpg

Men of the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion preparing to leave for Japan, January 1946.
Before Operation Downfall, almost no one remember the very few all-black units that fought in the Pacific. During the Operation, many could now remember the dozens of all-black forces in Japan, althought most were pulled from Europe (like the 614th Tank Destroyer Battalion and the 320th Barrage Ballon Battalion, the latter been the first all-black unit to land of D-Day in Europe). But two other units fought for the first time in Japan, the first been the The Triple Nickles (the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion), that was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division that was send as a (more light) infantry division to fight against the Japanese in Honshu, after Operation Coronet.

Another unit send was the 477th Composite Group (with the 617th and 618th Bombardment Group and the 99th Fighter Squadron), commanded by Benjamin O. Davis Jr. . Unlike in Europe, the "Red Tails" could no longer have their distintive red scheme, for fears of been shoot down by friendly fire. Another was that by the end of the war, they were the only US Group that still operated B-25 Mitchells, by the time both the USAAF and USM had all twin-engined medium bombers replaced with A-26 Invaders (althought they still operated the most modern B-25J series, and the 99th FS operated the most modern P-51M Mustangs*.) As they no longer could have the famous red tails, they opted instead for a blue/black heraldry (depending of the squadron, depend of a diferent scheme) with a yellow band in the wings.

*powered by a V-1650-9A engine, it was optimized for operations at low and medium altitude and lacked water injection, producing less maximum power at height. However, it featured attachment points for up to ten unguided HVAR missiles under the outer wings as well as improved armor protection for the pilot against low-caliber weapons esp. from ground troops, which ate up some of the light structure’s weight benefit. Apart from the 99th FS, it is a Lend-Lease exclusive aircraft.

An Dutch mortar men of the Dutch Mariniersbrigade in Sosa, Honshu, March 1946
Almost a footnote of Operation Coronet, and as a request due to several loses on Majestic, the Dutch offered the Dutch Mariniersbrigade (plus two fighter squadrons and a few warships) to Operation Coronet, where they attached to the 1st US Army, part of the III Amphibious Corps. Therefore, it became the only non-US force to land of Y-Day.

An Norwegian pilot flying a Tempest II in South Kyushu, 1945
Having declared war on Japan on July 9 1945, Norway (as part of the UN) wanted to contribute in any shape or form in the Pacific War as both a show of flag and as a thanking gift for their liberations. The only military contribution they could send was a Volunteer Squadron, as their army is to small and unprepared for the Pacific fighting, and the Navy had the old collection of ships that could take to long to update them for the Kamikaze threaths, so the Norwegian Volunteer Squadron (or NVS) was form, and operated the most modern fighter the RAF send to Kyushu, the Tempest II.

Feel like posting for your own timeline shouldn't count.
It's about your favorite, not your own work.

800px-Iraqi_Air_Force_F-16_Training1.JPG

As tensions rise in the Middle East in the 1980's between Saddam Hussein's Iraq and both Syria and Iran (later after losing Khuzestan during the Soviet-Iran War), the US removed Iraq from its "terrorist list" and supply them with most of their most state-in-the-art military equipment, including F-16 fighters, as shown were. Ironically, the first action these new equipment first state in warfare was in the very short Iraq-Kuwait War in 1988, in which, the US turn a blind eye towards Saddam actions.

The FCM F1 mock up been finished.
Designed to pierce the "fearsome" Siegfried Line, in the end, De Gaulle gamble in the Saar Offensive pay off, and Nazi Germany was defeated in late 1938. Despite this, the super-heavy tank was still developed, albiet at a slower speed, with the first vehicles only leaving the factory in 1942. It replaced the very old Char 2C and other smaller tanks, but it did not seen no combat until 1953 in the French Expeditionary Force. Not able to stop the Soviet advance, they could at least slow down enough to reinforcments to arrive.
