Kuril village.png

An Ainu village on the island of Etorofu, following their ethnic cleansing from Hokkaido, they were abandoned on the desolate Kuril Islands where thousands perished due to inclement weather and neglect, many would prefer to migrate to Russian-controlled Sakhalin were a minority still lives to this day. Today their status has improved and their population is estimated at 10,000 living for the most part on the islands. Although they are not prohibited from stepping on the other Home Islands, few dare to do so due to the cold reception of the rest of Japanese society, still resentful of the communist period of the Republic of Ezo. Isolation has had a small advantage in preserving and to some extent making Ainu culture thrive in this remote corner of the world.

Sapporo.png

Sapporo, the largest city and capital of the Hokkaido prefecture. After the expulsion of the Ainu, the island was repopulated with former Japanese refugees and new migrants. To this day the inhabitants of the island are firmly nationalist and anti-communist even by Japanese standards. After many years of effort and investment, the island finally reached the same living standards as the rest of the country in early 2004, Sapporo is now mostly known by its winter festivals and high standards of living.

Kaiser Ferdinand V of Germany. He was grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II.- After Wilhel II abdicated and monarchy was abolished he and his family lived quiet life firstly on abroad and then again in Germany. During WW2 he begun form close relationships with Brits and Italians and partially involved to plot against Hitler and Wehcrmacht mutiny. In 1948 it was decided that him would become Kaiser of Germany (at this point only Western parts). During Ferdinand V's reign West-Germany became stable democracy and trusted member of ITO. Personally Ferdinand travelled in many countries (only queen Elizabeth II has more state visits) and he managed re-create good relationships with European countries, United States and Israel. After Cold War he too visited in many former Stalingrad Pact nations and former Soviet Republics. He too saw re-unfication of Germany and Germany rising as leading European power on economic issues. The Kaiser was somehow sympathic towards restoration of sub-monarchies but he didn't push that much. He was very popular in Germany and abroad.

28.jpg

A fan-made Time Magazine cover for the on-going popular alternate history timeline on AH.com called “Giza Stands Firm”, or GSF for short, created by the user NasseriteBoi12.

The timeline deals with the ramifications of Nasser’s Egypt not joining Michel Alfaq’s United Arab Republic, a split in the Ba'athist ideology between authoritarian anti-Israeli Nasserism and totalitarian anti-Semitic Alfaqism. The split and refusal to join Alfaq’s UAR, among other things, leds to the Arab Republic of Egypt declaring neutrality in the Second Arabian War and follows Nasser’s regime in the aftermath of the war as Egypt navigates the remainder of the 1950’s and beyond with Nasser’s successor Anwar Sadat covertly supplying the Ethiopian rebels against Italy during the Abyssinia War.

How did this Egypt deal with the aftermath of the Second Arabian War? I take it Nasser ITTL declared that Aflaq's regime was a regime which had betrayed the Arab cause with its recruitment of Fegelein and his friends.

I would suppose that treatment of Syria and Iraq is not as severe as it was on TFoM.

But Saudi Arabia probably is still lost cause.

Nope, Syria and Iraq pretty much get the same treatment. Though several lower-rank Aflaqist-Ba‘atheists seek asylum in Nasser’s Egypt.

abandoned-transport-and-installation-unit-grasshopper-for-spaceship-picture-id882558014

Abandoned transport and instalation unit in Baikonur cosmodrome, Kazakhstan. After Gagarin's infamous spaceflight in 1970 Soviet Union abolished its space program due moneytary problems and other issues. After collapse of Soviet Union the place remained abandoned when Russia didn't want that anymore and couldn't sustain that anyway. Kazakh goverment was just too poor do with that anything. In 1983 Kazakhstan anyway sold some stuff to China. China was able start its own space program and send first Chinese to face of the Moon in 2015. Recently Kazakhstan has begun reconstruct Baikonur as outdoor museum in hopes that it could get more tourists to the poor country.

Moscow_05-2017_img31_Choral_Synagogue.jpg

Holocaust Museum in Moscow, Russia. Originally it was synagogue but at beginning of Second Holocaust in 1948 Stalin ordered synagogue being closed and demolished. After collapse of Soviet Union some Russian Jews in Israel suggested that synagogue should reconstruct. Due Second Holocaust and expulsion of Russian Jews in Russia was very few Jews left even despite that Malenkov's regime restored citizenship of Russian Jews. So it was decided that it should change as museum. Due moneytary problems and collecting information and stuff like items and photos lasted quiet long time the building was finished only just in 2001. The museum contain much of items what had belonged to Russian Jews, photos, much of information about life of Jews under tsarist and Soviet regimes and there is even memorial room where is names of all these known Russian Jews who were perished during First and Second Holocaust. Nowadays Russia has one of strictest laws against Holocaust denial and antisemitism. But still nowadays in Russia lives only very few of Jews.
