I'm a Survivor: An Elisabeth Hasselback Presidency TL

This timeline is based off of an idea I recently suggested in the "I've Seen America: Gore Wins 2008" timeline. We were discussing possible candidates who could run for President in 2016 and I asked whether or not a candidate similar to Donald Trump (no political experience, celebrity, eccentric personality) would run. I suggested that perhaps instead of a well-known male conservative celebrity running, perhaps a well-known female conservative celebrity could run. I remember that Elisabeth Hasselback of Survivor and The View fame was rather conservative and narrowly qualified for the age limit to be President (she was 37 in 2015), so I considered creating a timeline where she runs as a reactionary, anti-establishment conservative newcomer candidate.

June 14th, 2015: Despite widespread rumors, business mogul Donald Trump confirms he will not be running for President in the 2016. "I need to continue focusing on my business", Trump claims in an interview from last week.

June 15th, 2015: In a move that surprises everyone, former Survivor contestant and The View commentator Elisabeth Hasselback announces her intention to run for President. "Having been a political commentator for over a decade now, I see how endangered America truly is", Hasselback states during her announcement speech. "I intend to right the wrongs that have been gradually getting larger and bring back the prosperity this country strongly deserves! In short, I will rebuild the America of yesterday, to bring a better America for tomorrow!"

June 17th, 2015: The reaction on social media to the news of Hasselback's campaign announcement is riotous. "The tribe has spoken for America", one particular twitter user and Survivor fan states.

Gone Fishin'
Not the most bizarre concept I've seen. So, sure, let's see where this goes!

July 18, 2015: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is asked about her potential opponent. "Well, I think it would be interesting if it was two women head to head. The one great thing would be that no matter who wins, the highest glass ceiling is shattered. That doesn't mean I won't fight for myself, of course, but I'd be quite appreciative and receptive of whoever wins, and would gladly find ways to come together with her."

July 31st, 2015: During a speech in St. Louis, Missouri, Hasselback pledges to reform the immigration system and bring fourth one reliant not on "partisan extremism", but on "common sense conservatism" that she claims will be beneficial to the nation. "As President, I will promote an updated immigration system that enforces strict background checks for all potential new citizens to ensure our safety, welfare and prosperity."

August 1, 2015-CAIR makes a statement against Hasselback's remark. "Miss Hasseback should know better than to paint Muslims with a broad stroke and paint every single one in the same vein as terrorists."

August 7th, 2015: In Cleveland, Ohio, Hasselback questions Jeb Bush's competence for the Presidency. "Under the Bush administration, our economy plummeted, we were engaged in needless bloody wars and our national confidence was shaken terribly. Is this the man who would be beneficial to our nation?"

August 9, 2015-Jeb Bush's poll numbers start to sink quite noticeably while Hasselback's begin to rise.

I'm a huge Survivor fan and will follow, but flat-out bashing Islam is pushing her into female Trump territory, and as conservative as she is, she has a much better head on her shoulders than that. She was pro-gay marriage when it was still illegal in the majority of America, for one.

If she's running as female Trump based on her experience on Survivor/The View, it's going to be a tough sell.

Though if Rupert ends up governor of Indiana, I'll call it a win.

This is something I could see her doing. Beats the hell out of making Mexico pay for a ridiculous border wall.
