Citizens:
CSA - Confederates, Southerners, Dixies
USA - Unionists, Northerners, Yankees

Country Terms:
USA - The Union, North
CSA - The Confederacy, South

Degenerating terms:
CSA - Johnny Reb, Hicks, Rebs, Dixiecrats, Greys, Butternuts, Slave Whippers
USA - Billy Yank, Yanks, Feds, Blue Meanies, Blue Bellies, Negro Lovers

I preferabley adore the Blue Meanie nickname for the Union :p

Wouldn't Unionists continue to refer to themselves as Americans and Confederates refer to themselves as well...Confederates?

I guess it really depends on how things go post-civil war. If by 1900 it becomes a "no hard feelings" type of deal with closer cooperation, tons of trade connections, people crossing the border daily by the thousands, and fighting on the same side in wars then both sides might simply refer to themselves as Americans and there wouldn't be much of a difference on a world stage.

If TL-191's crapstorm is true then I bet the CSA government pushes as hard as it can for its populace to think of themselves as confederates and beyond "Americans".

Much in the same way that a German might refer to himself in a broad sense as a European, but still think of himself as a German, many during the Civil War fighting for the South referred to themselves as Southerners and say 'Virginian' - overall inasmuch as the generic 'American' would refer to both Northerners and Southerners, it would make sense for a less broad term to exist in the consciousness of the citizens. My bet would be on 'Southerner'

Northeners will likely always call them rebels or rebs, Johnny or Johnnys will also be poplar

I doubt any of the names will be used for non-white Southerners, not sure what they'll call the Blacks
