If the Spanish did not discover the Philippines
I have certain questions
-At the time of the Spanish Conquest/purchase of Luzon, which at the time was called as Saludang/Selurong, the Bruneian-Tagalog Nobility(the term tagalog here means luzonian not the tagalog ethnic group as we now call it) has yet to be concretized there, the Lakandula faction has NO empathy towards the natives and cared more in beating the Solimanids and getting more prestige (which is the reason why they sold the island to the Spanish) while the Solimanids had concern with the people and had support with Brunei, who ever wins this conflict will face the piracy and the Igorot problem in Northern Luzon, this problem is similar to the Viking raids and Danelaw problem in Anglo-Saxon England, will the Bruneian-Tagalogs do the same harrying the north thingy in Northern Luzon against the Igorots like the normans did to Danelaw? if the lakandula faction wins, most likely the island ends up independent on paper and have autonomy under Portuguese control in the same way Ternate in Indonesia is and if the Soliman faction wins they are more likely to have a more independent policy on the island, which would be the best scenario..
Note: Luzon before the Spanish conquest is quite similar to the shaky situation of England just after William the Conqueror conquered it..
-Would Sulu remain under the suzerainty of Brunei?
-Would Mindanao be peaceful in the long term?
-Would Visayas unite?
