If the ottomans still existed today

What if the ottoman empire never collapsed after the great war , let's say they're still the dominant force in the middle east and the balkans , how would this affect Israel and the USSR and especially WW2 , will the ottomans joins the axis ? I believe therés a good chance that they would have

first off, welcome to the site :)

second, if you want to consider this you'll need to take the butterfly effect into account: if the Ottomans still existed, in all likelihood Israel and the USSR wouldn't, to say the least. what we need to do first is determine exactly HOW the Ottoman Empire doesn't dissolve, because they were basically living on borrowed time by the outbreak of WWI--it was called the Sick Man of Europe for a reason

I understand Israel, but why would the USSR have not existed?

Well the USSR not existing depends on where you mark your POD, but I would think that if the POD is within 5 years of the OTL October Revolution then things will pretty much run their course in more or less the same way. History diverges completely after the POD but the same variables are still in play for a set period of time before the POD in question sends out its ripples.

just accounting for probability. one possibility for this that comes to mind is, if the Ottomans stay out of WWI, then (assuming the war even still happens) Germany might not last long enough to decide to smuggle Lenin back into Russia to heckle the tsarist government, meaning no Russian Revolution and therefore no Soviet Union

Even if it survives to the end of the 1910s without a major war breaking out it's in much better shape than historically just by having the railway to Baghdad finished.

Every moment it survives makes its dissolution more difficult just due to the sheer amount of wealth it will be creating. Now there's no guarantee that it survives until the 20th century, but if it does it would be a force to be reckoned with and probably in the top tier of great powers.

This wouldn't work, the ottomans MUST take part in WWI and then win the war, if they stay neutral is very possible to the arab revolution still take place and the british intervene making they lose all their arab territories

To save the otties we need three things:

1- The Ottoman empire fights and win WWI, this way crushing the arab revolution and signing a white peace with the UK
2- The ottomans need to convince the germans that they are important to prevent the british from taking control from the middle east (something very easy actually), the german would then finish the berlin-bagdad railway and extend it to basra
3- Oil, the ottoman empire should invest a lot in exploring their oil plants
