If the Democrats held the House in 2010

I realise that the GOP grassroots were excellent at mobilising conservative voters to tear the House out of Democrat hands, but suppose they had failed? Say a similar effort by Democrat voters had ensured that only a small number of seats actually fell to Republicans. Regardless of how implausible that would be, what does this mean for Obama's legislative agenda in 2011 and 2012, as well as politics generally?

The GOP would not be in real danger of going the way of the Whigs for one thing.

Other than that, considering that the Republicans have caved to every thing that Obama has proposed since then, I don't think anything would have changed at all.
