This is more or less a question about the effect that a codified vs un-codified constitution has on the stability of republican government specifically in the case of the Roman republic.
As in the case of the UK, the government of republican Rome relied on a system of legislative precedent to aid in its functioning.
So what if instead someone had the wherewithal to write it all down at some point prior to the instability years? Would it have prevented the mishmash of governmental stresses that precedent alone couldnt solve?
