If not for the USA, would you have a unified British North America at all?

Because it occurs to me that Canada in OTL was probably formed in part due to the British Empire wanting to have a stronger presence in North America by uniting all their territory as one nation. So, if the American Revolution had failed, would there have been any reason for the British colonies to all unite?

Not immediately, but if you look at Australia or even India you can see the momentum towards a unitary structure of administration and a desire to federate. It is quite likely IMO that the same would have happened in a British-ruled North America, unless the rulers operate a divide-and-conquer policy (Lakota light horse and Quebecois infantry to keep the Bostoners in line).

Not sure, but I think the British would of left Mexican Territoty in one piece on three conditions.

#1. Be ruled by a friendly Spain or become a lasting empire
#2. Various treaties that allow the British the use of Mexico's Resources
#3. Mexico/New Spain leaves British-American Territory alone. (Belize for example)

I think that British holdings in North America would be expanded to about or past OTL USA borders. I don't think British rule would butterfly manifest destiny but rather change it to spread the Union Jack everywhere kind of thing. Especially if the Napoleonic Wars still occur and Spain still joins France at the start of the war.

Well, if Britain held onto the American colonies (for whatever reason), I doubt that Britain would take much interest in Australia or India; all their attention would be focused on populating North America. They would still participate in the Scramble for Africa, however.

I don't think Britain would expand to the current US borders.... grabbing the Louisiana Territory is likely, they'd probably take it sooner or later (the need to keep New Orleans would drive that). But I can't see why Britain would attack Mexico to take the western states that we did in OTL... with Britain in charge of America, there probably wouldn't be the massive immigration of OTL, and thus, no real need to move into Texas, California, etc....
