If Hitler succeeded as an artist...

Sadly his artwork isn't all that impressive even at a glance you can see the often stated flaws of it being lifeless and his lack of ability to depict people. And on closer inspection you'll notice while his lines are impressive his contours are not only lacking but even sloppy at times. As for being an architect I doubt he'd have much success there either since his designs tended toward the grandiose and impractical which sadly "in my opinion" went out of style for the most part with the end of the Victorian and Edwardian Eras and you'd need a megalomaniacal dictator like Hitler to spend always tight budgetary funds on his style of architecture for him to really ever reach a level of renowned to be considered a success.
However with all that said if somehow his style were to be shifted to a more futurist bent he might eventually experience a moderate level of success. But changing someone's art style is pretty much akin to changing their personality so I don't know how plausible it would be.

How about a hitler that becomes the german/austrian counterpart to Raymond Loewy. IE he gets into industrial design.

He dit with KdF-Wagen aka Volkswagen Käfer
as Ferdiant Porsche 1932 show the Prototype (wat look more like the Citröen 2CV prototype)
Hitler say Nein Nein Nein, took piece of paper and drawn this:

Yep, that was it. A nice collection.

You know, I think the theme worth pursuing here isn't so much "Was Hitler a good artist" he was...ok... But, if he DIUD become successful, it effectively removes him from politics in Germany. He would never go one to write "Mein Kampf" or serve in WWI.

Imagine how THAT changes things.

I've seen worse picture postcards; I suppose he could have made a living that way, or as a painter of portraits for the middle classes (because sometimes a photo just doesn't cut it). Bu,t no, he wouldn't ever be great; these are fairly static, staid, and old fashioned by the standards of the time.
