If Dukakis won in 1988, who would the GOP nominate in 1992?

I'm not saying he's going to be the nominee, but Pat Buchanan has a chance to be even more disruptive in this scenario. The NAFTA question is in full swing and he's the only one opposed to it. With his brand of comfortably racist populism serving as a model example for the opposite of whatever Dukakis is doing (as opposed to other Republicans he can paint as "appeasers") he might tap into something powerful.
