Idi Amin remains western allied, How much support could he get in the Ugandan Tanzanian war

Say Idi Amin remains allied to the West and still invades Tanzania.

How much support could he get from western countries?

Would Britain or Israel send military advisers ?

How would this impact the Ugandan Tanzanian war

Unless Tanzania went full-on Soviet satellite, I doubt western countries would do much to help Uganda.

The trouble with Idi Amin is that he was a weatherwane, depending on which side of his brains were tickled by syphilis, therefore highly unreliable as ally.
Plus, Uganda is landlocked and neighbouring countries might not want to be involved in his folly by allowing passage for the resupply missions.

Start by hand-waving away Tanzania’s relationship with Canada. During the Cold War, Canada quietly served as a surrogate for the USA and NATO providing international aid to NATO-leaning countries in the Third World. Canada recognized Tanzania in 1961 and has provided extensive support to mining, education, commerce and military interests.
For example, deHavilland of Canada supplier DHC-4 Cariboo and DHC-5 Buffalo transport airplanes to Tanzania along with a handful of Canadian Army instructors to teach Tanzanian soldiers how to jump from their new airplanes.
At one point, the Canadian Airborne Regiment wore camouflaged jump smocks made of fabric left over from a contract to cloth Tanzanian soldiers!
Hah!
Hah!
